My School Projects
My Great Grandmother’s House
There is a place in West Virginia,
hidden deep in the mountains,
that is the home to a woman named Betty.
The home is old, but full of love,
and belongs to an old woman named Betty.
Betty sits on the worn out porch looking into the distance,
waiting for her family traveling from Michigan.
A little gray car turns into the dirt driveway,
and she sees her great grand-kids come out,
She gives them a hug and smothers them with love,
and will treasure this moment forever.
